Détente
dé·tente: noun \ d?-?tänt \ 1. the relaxation of strained relations or tensions (as between camera assistants and the accessories they need to attach to the camera to make it functional); also : a policy promoting peace and harmony between cameras and those who use them. 2. a period of détente: a long lasting period of a relaxing or loosening of the tensions caused by bulky and inefficient camera accessories designed by people who don’t actually use them in the field. 3. A line of camera accessories made by Üssy–Tek and distributed worldwide by Digital Film Studios for use with Red Digital Cinema’s Epic and Scarlet Cameras.
